Tasting Notes: Château Ksara Blanc de Blancs

One of Château Ksara’s truly iconic white wines, Blanc de Blancs (literally white wine from white grapes) is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay (which is aged for four months in oak). It has a color of deep pear, while on the nose there are nutty and other savory notes mixed with exotic fruits. In the mouth the wine is fresh and balanced with good weight that makes it perfect to serve as an aperitif or with food. The finish is sustained, smooth and flavorsome. After being picked, the grapes are pressed whole withsedimentation and fermentation carried out at 18°C. When fermentation is complete, the wine is racked-offandthen put in oak before being blended, stabilized and bottled. Château Ksara’s Blanc de Blancs can be kept for two to three years in a good cellar, but it is advised to drink it as young as possible. Best served chilled at 8°C with salads, fish and white meat.
